The Journey to Creating Durable Underwear

Hey! My name is Jackson, Im a FIFO worker in the Pilbara living in Fremantle. Over the years, I’ve worked various physical jobs – plumbing, landscaping, truck driving, drillers offsider and test pumping on many different mine sites. I’ve also spent many years skateboarding, slamming on the concrete more than i would have liked...

Growing up, I was constantly frustrated with holes in my underwear after they thinned out and became see through. At first, I blamed skating and physical jobs, but even after slowing down, my underwear still wore out too quickly. After trying expensive brands that were extremely comfortable, for the price i was paying they just didn’t hold up over time, I realised the problem wasn’t me – it was the materials.

That’s when I had an idea: combine hemp, the strongest natural fibre, for durability, with bamboo viscose, known for its unmatched softness. Hemp strengthens the areas most prone to wear, while bamboo keeps things comfortable. This blend of durability and comfort became the foundation for Donnyjons – underwear designed to last and feel great every time you wear them.
